Employees at Irving-based Kimberly-Clark spent Tuesday assembling and distributing nearly 2,000 cases of products to area nonprofits as part of the official launch of United Way’s annual fundraising campaign season. The launch was called “Live United Day.” The company donated diapers, wipes and paper goods toChildCareGroup, Children’s Medical Center, Mi Escuelita, Nexus Recovery Center, Parkland (Dallas Healthy Start), Rainbow Days, Vogel Alcove and the YMCA.
Live United Day ended with a focus on education through the renovation of the Learning Advancement Center at the East Dallas Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Dallas site. Employees from Irving-based Fluorreplaced floor tiles, painted and provided furnishings to help make the room suitable for after-school tutoring and mentoring programs.
