The Irving Chamber held a ribbon cutting Wednesday for Humana RightSource. Located at 2001 Carpenter Freeway, the mail-order pharmacy facility opens with about 190 employees and plans to eventually employ about 620 people.
Among those who gave remarks at the opening ceremony were William Fleming, president of Humana Pharmacy Solutions, Alan Martin, a Humana RightSource vice president, Rep. Linda Harper Brown, Irving Mayor Beth Van Duyne and and Jo Ann Goin, past chamber board chair.
Goin presented a plaque to Fleming to welcome him to the chamber and Harper Brown presented a certificate of congrats.
The company, which also operates in Arizona and Ohio, serves about 1.5 million people. In 2012, it filled nearly 20 million scripts, making it one of the nation’s largest mail order pharmacies.
With its subsidiary companies Concentra and LifeSynch, and addition to the employees being hired at the RightSource facility, Humana will have more than 2,500 employees in North Texas.
