Gables said Thursday that it had signed restaurant leases with Olivella’s Neo Pizza Napoletana, Twisted Root Burger Co. and the Londoner Pub. Gables Water Street will have 330 apartments and more than 60,000 square feet of shops and restaurants in the first phase.
“The merchandising plan has focused on regional best-in-class retailers and restaurants that will draw people from the greater Dallas area to one of the only waterfront dining experiences in the metroplex,” said Brett Madden, an associate with Retail Street Advisors, which is marketing the project to retailers.
WDG Architecture designed Water Street, and Studio Outside will be the landscape architect. Water Street will include the largest element of new retail space for Las Colinas’ Urban Center, which is on the DART commuter rail line. The city of Irving is still working on another proposed development on Highway 114, a large shopping and entertainment complex.
