The City of Irving hosted its annual Main Street Festival  Friday and Saturday, September 13 and 14, with thousands of residents and visitors crowding into Heritage Crossing.

The Main Street Festival included  carnival rides,, multiple stages with live music, a car show, battle of the bands,food, children’s area, and more.   Music was provided by various groups including Fingerprints on Friday evening, and Carabali, All Funk Radio Show, Vocal Trash and LC Rocks on Saturday.  One of the biggest hits of the event is the annual Manifolds on Main Street car show which featured nearly 100 classic and custom cars.

The Chamber hosted a table in the car show area near its Heritage Crossing office and gave away 10 cases of bottled water.  The newest feature of the Festival this year was the Wagner’s Carnival where attendees could purchase wristbands for unlimited rides.   Jacqueline Madden, Special Events Manager for the City, called this one of the most successful events ever in Heritage Crossing with an estimated 5,000 attendees.
