The spirit of entrepreneurship continues to thrive in Irving through the Greater Irving-Las Colinas Chamber’s relationship with the Small Business Administration’s Senior Corp of Retired Executives (SCORE) program.  At the Dallas Chapter of SCORE’s Annual Recognition program, two of the four entrepreneurs recognized had Irving ties including Antoinette LaFayette and her Pink Frosting Cupcake Company  and Martin Metzler with Structura Institute who were both counseled by Irving’s SCORE Chapter and its mentors Chuck Rudnick and Joe McTague.   Chuck Rudnick introduced both entrepreneurs at event to tell the story of their businesses and how SCORE was an integral part of their successful start-up.

Pink Frosting Cupcakes will be celebrating a ribbon cutting grand opening Friday, September 20th, 4:00 pm at their shop at 925 W. John Carpenter Fwy, Suite 104 (SH-114 at MacArthur Blvd).   Entrepreneurs are encouraged to schedule an appointment to work with Irving’s SCORE counselors by calling the Chamber at 214-217-8484.
