The Texas Wild debut at the Four Seasons in Irving last month seems to have been a success. Although the team didn’t win the championship, it drew more and more fans who got an upclose look at some top players. Rusty Hall of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram writes that “Wild owner Jeff Launius couldn’t have asked for a better debut, and by the midway point of the season, the Wild’s 2,000-seat stadium was close to capacity. Fans had discovered they could let loose and have a good time. And they could also enjoy a quality product, as it turned out.” He quoted Launius as saying, “After opening night, the fans got it. They realized they could make noise. They realized that this was their team, and their enthusiasm got better and better and better. That was a great sign for us as an organization and as a team.”
