Double train tracks are getting ever closer to Terminal A at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport
. Dallas Area Rapid Transit’s signature railroad and overhead power wires are being installed along the northern end of the airport and straight down International Parkway. Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport contractors are building the station, while DART contractors are building the tracks. It’s the western extension of DART’s orange line, which currently ends at the Belt Line Station in Irving. If that’s on track, when are the trains coming? DART CEO Gary Thomas said they’re right on schedule for December 2014. So, if you like to travel during the Christmas holiday, you can be one of the first to try this system out. You’ll avoid all the traffic headaches on the road, especially around the airport.
