Irving reports that after an exhaustive national search, Sandy Grambort has been selected for the position of manager of Animal Services. Grambort has been employed as acting manager for Animal Services for eight months. “There’s a good relationship between the Irving Animal Care Center and DFW Humane Society, and I am proud to be a part of it,” Grambort said in a city news release. City officals say that Grambort is a subject-matter expert in both the operational and rescue areas of animal services. She has the skills necessary to lead the division and work effectively with residents and community groups, according to the release. She has significant experience in working with the different animal welfare groups and can bring the different interests to a consensus as she works to achieve the strategic goals of the division.
