MedSynergies has formed a joint venture to provide physician-management services for Catholic Health Initiatives, the third-largest, faith-based health system in the U.S., the Irving company announced last week. The partnership is MedSynergies’ third deal involving management services for doctors affiliated with large hospital systems. Services include billing, patient referral, scheduling and other back-office functions. Terms of the joint venture were not disclosed. Under the joint venture called Catholic Health Initiatives Physician Services, MedSynergies will provide services to 2,900 providers across the country under a centralized system. “This relationship will provide services that drive operational and financial results for the physician organization, which positions them for long-term success in a rapidly changing healthcare landscape,” MedSynergies CEO J.R. Thomas said in a statement.
