Fortis Property Group – the company that recently purchased the 3-building Colonnade office tower complex in Addison – is working on an acquisition in Irving. The New York-based investor has a contract to purchase the 18-story Point at Las Colinas office building which is located just south of State Highway 114. The 401,400-square-foot high-rise is one a handful of local properties that CBRE Global Investors has been marketing for sale. Fortis bought the more than 1 million-square-foot Colonnade project from CBRE, and recently announced plans for a renovation of the Dallas North Tollway project. The Point at Las Colinas was built in 1983 and has been significantly remodeled over the years. Fortis already owns the 526,000-square-foot NEC complex in Las Colinas. And Fortis owns the Harwood Center skyscraper in downtown Dallas.
