For the second straight summer, seven Irving recreation centers will provide free lunches to Irving children. The Food and Fitness Fest is a 10-week summer lunch program and partnership between Irving, Irving ISD, the Texas Department of Agriculture and the U.S. Department of Agriculture. The program provides free and healthy lunches Monday through Friday. Irving ISD will prepare and deliver hot and cold meals that include one meat, two vegetables or fruit, bread and milk. Children ages 18 and younger are eligible to participate in the free program, regardless of income.
