Join us on Friday, 4/26/13, from 11:00-12:30 for this special Irving Chamber Green Business Council Program!   Lady Bird Johnson Net Zero Middle School is one of the most original and interesting schools you will ever see. It gives a great example to the business community in renewable energies and I guarantee none of us attended a middle school like this!

Meeting Location & Tour: Lady Bird Johnson Net-Zero Middle School—3601 W. Pioneer Dr., Irving, TX 75061 (Just west of Beltline Rd). We will have our official GBC meeting portion from 11:00-11:30 followed by the presentation and tour of the school from 11:30-12:30. A very affordable lunch will be available for purchase from their net zero cafeteria (again, nothing like the school cafeteria we use to eat in!).

About Johnson Middle School:
Our students still follow the district curriculum and take similar district assessments but the learning is from an inquiry based approach. In addition to innovative teaching, our students work every day in a real living laboratory with museum exhibits. Students learn through practical, hands-on experiences about environmental stewardship, energy conservation and such topics as geothermal science, rainwater collection, solar panel usage, and wind turbine efficiency. JMS presents unique learning opportunities for all students in the District, the campus has been designed to host 60-70 visiting students on a daily basis.
