The Dallas Business Journal honored its 2013 class of Minority Business Leader Awards winners during a luncheon and ceremony on February 7 at the Sheraton Dallas Hotel. This year’s recipients are a mixture of corporate executives, business owners and community leaders.

The Minority business Leader Awards is a prestigious award that honors minority business owners and executives who not only play a strong leadership role in their companies but also in the community. Past honorees have included college presidents, retail executives, lawyers, IT company founders, health care executives and educators.

This year, Daryl Walker, Chairman of the Irving-Las Colinas Chamber of Commerce and Vice President of Major Accounts, Xerox Corp., Lucy Catalá, vice president of finance and hospital financial officer for Baylor Irving, and partner of the Greater Irving-Las Colinas Chamber of Commerce and 26 other honorers were featured in a special publication in the February 8 issue of the newspaper.
