One of North Texas’ newest health care players is expanding in Chile. Irving-based Catholic health system Christus Health signed a preliminary agreement with Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile in Santiago, Chile, to jointly expand PUC’s health network. Christus, a not-for-profit health system that relocated to Las Colinas last year, has brought more than 600 jobs to North Texas since moving into its headquarters starting in August. The jobs total is expected to grow to more than 1,000 by this summer. Christus and PUC expect the final agreement on the Chile expansion will include Christus’ ownership of a 40 percent share of the joint venture, which will allow the partners to work together on the joint operation of facilities in Chile.
