The Greater Irving-Las Colinas Chamber of Commerce hosted a luncheon honoring the City of Irving, a 2012 Baldrige Award recipient, featuring special guest, Dr. Harry Hertz, director of the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award program. A number of Irving business leaders, along with Baldrige Award recipients Lockheed Martin (2012) and Freese and Nichols (2010), attended the luncheon, which was a roundtable discussion on performance excellence initiatives and the Baldrige journey.

Dr. Hertz commended the City of Irving for its accomplishments. “It is clear that your employee engagement, customer satisfaction and partnership with the business community have served you well.” He added that, “If we could have all of our cities performing like the City of Irving, just think what this would do for our economy and our country.”
