Fort Worth-based Sam’s Furniture & Appliance plans to open its second retail location in Dallas-Fort Worth. The lease-to-own furniture and appliance store has leased 20,192 square feet of space at Plymouth Park South Shopping Center at 1735 N. Story Road in Irving. It plans to continue to operate its Haltom City location at 5050 E. Belknap Road. Michelle Caplan of The Weitzman Group represented Sam’s Furniture & Appliance in the deal. The store has been open since 1946. The company is expanding to Irving because of customer demand, said Seth Weisblatt, the third-generation owner of Sam’s Furniture & Appliance. The lease-to-own furniture and appliance business must be going well. In October, Plano-based Rent-A-Center Inc. reported a 28 percent growth in earnings for the third quarter. The company’s revenue increased 5 percent to $739.3 million.
