Shermco Industries, a provider of safe, reliable testing, repair, professional training, maintenance and analysis of rotating apparatus and electrical power distribution systems and related equipment for the light, medium, and heavy industrial base nationwide, has dispatched dozens of field service technicians to New Jersey to assist in restoration efforts in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy. Shermco will be working with oil and gas companies to bring terminals back on line after substantial water damage shut down fuel pumps necessary to get fuel to area stores and consumers.

“We’ve proven that we’re always ready to respond when called upon,” said Jason Greer, Shermco’s national response manager. “With several similar projects over the past decade, we’ve been able to get our customers back up and running.”

As recently as 2010, Shermco worked similar restoration jobs in Nashville and Clarksville, Tennessee, as a result of the massive Cumberland River flood. Shermco employs a staff of technicians that specialize in electrical disaster recovery services. “The most rewarding part for us is helping the people return to normalcy after a devastating event like Hurricane Sandy,” said Greer.
