Veterans Day Program: The Irving Veterans Memorial Park Committee will host a Veterans Day Program at 11:30 a.m. Nov. 9 at the Irving Central Library Auditorium, 801 W. Irving Blvd.
Unite for Troops Drive: The City of Irving is supporting a Unite for Troops event from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 10 at Porter’s Army Navy Store, 600 E. Irving Blvd. Items needed for military personnel care packages include non-breakable holiday ornaments, cold medicine, lip balm, eye drops, beef jerky, black beanie caps, disposable razors, ear plugs, playing cards, socks, T-shirts and travel pillows. Town Hall Meeting: There will be a Town Hall Meeting at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 12 at Ranchview High School, 8401 Valley Ranch Parkway East for residents and businesses. Holiday Parade: Residents, civic groups and businesses can participate in the Holiday Parade Dec. 1. Deadline to register floats, vehicles, bands, dance groups, marching groups, etc. is Nov. 16.
