annual cycling event was held this Saturday, Sept. 29, in Irving. The 175-mile bicycling route provided an exciting two-day tour through Dallas and Tarrant Counties, presented the opportunity for riders and crew to make new friends, while helping North Texans impacted by HIV/AIDS. This year’s route started and ended in Irving. Host city sponsor, Microsoft, hosted LSRFA’s opening and closing ceremonies at their facility located at 7100 SH 161, Irving, 75039.
Since 2001, LSRFA distributed more than $2 million to its three beneficiaries. Three hundred bicyclists and supporting crew were expected to participate in the weekend event. Features of the fully supported ride included pit stops complete with snacks, beverages, bike‐ tech assistance and massages every 10 to 15 miles. Route crews sustained riders on the route to ensure their successful participation in the ride.
