For the third year in a row, Irving ISD
has earned the highest possible rating for the Comptroller’s Financial Allocation Study for Texas (FAST).The study rates Texas school districts and campuses on their success in combining high academic achievement with cost-effective operations. Out of the 1,237 districts across the state only 15 school districts and charter schools achieved the five-star FAST rating and can say they are part of the Texas Honors Circle for three years in a row.
Debbie Cabrera, Irving ISD’s Associate Superintendent of Business Services notes, “Our students have been consistently outperforming students from other districts that spend about the same amount per student as Irving ISD. The needs of our community are constantly changing we have traditionally been conservative with our spending in order to be able to adapt to the community needs.”
