All 26 Texas metropolitan areas added construction jobs for the 12 months ended Aug. 31 — even as other areas of the country struggled, according to data released today by the Associated General Contractors of America. The Dallas-Plano-Irving was third (4,500, or 4 percent). Nationally, construction employment declined in 164 of 337 metropolitan areas for the 12 months, according to the trade group. Employment rose in 130 metro areas and stayed the same in 43.
