Charter Review Meetings: The Irving Charter Review Committee has set meetings for Thursdays at 5 p.m. Meetings are held on the First Floor of City Hall, 825 W. Irving Blvd. The committee is seeking input from residents on the Charter. Opportunities for input are available online and in person through a comment card at City Hall. The Committee will meet throughout the fall and make recommendations regarding Charter amendments to the City Council when complete. Meeting dates are subject to change. Ms. Mature Irving Pageant: The Ms. Mature Irving Pageant celebrates 30 years! Join the fun at 7 p.m. Oct. 5 as six lovely ladies compete to become Ms. Mature Irving. Contestants will be judged on personality, talent and evening wear. The event will be held at Carpenter Performance Hall in the Irving Arts Center, 3333 N. MacArthur Blvd. Tickets are $10 for adults in advance, and $12 at the door. Children 12 and under are $8 in advance and $10 at the door. Advanced tickets are available through Oct. 4 at 5 p.m. For more information, call (972) 721-2496.

Save the Date: There will be two upcoming Town Hall Meetings on Oct. 30 at the Heritage Senior Center, 200 S. Jefferson and Nov. 12 at Ranchview High School, 8401 Valley Ranch Parkway East. Both meetings will have the capability for residents to listen and participate in the meeting via the telephone. More information will be following in the coming weeks.
