ADT plans to hire 150 people at its Irving campus by the end of November. The home security company is officially breaking away from its parent company, Tyco International. ADT will be a publicly traded company on the New York Stock Exchange. “This really gave us an opportunity to focus on what we do best, what matters most to ADT, which is focused on saving customers lives, providing customers with added safety,” said Shawn Lucht, senior vice president of operations at ADT. The ADT campus in Irving is one of the largest ADT facilities in North America.
The Greater Irving Las Colinas Chamber of Commerce has been working with ADT as it continues to expand. “We have a new website, HireIrving.com, where Irving citizens can go on and look for jobs that are right here within Irving. And this is a good example of the types of jobs that you’ll be seeing on that website,” said the Chamber’s President and CEO Chris Wallace. Wallace also said thanks to companies like ADT, the city has added a total of more than 4,300 new jobs this fiscal year.
