The Irving Hispanic Chamber announced that Lourdes Campero, owner of Forever Tiles, was named 2012 Texas Hispanic Woman of the Year by the Texas Association of Mexican-American Chambers of Commerce. Mrs. Campero opened her business in 2009 and is growing at a significant and steady pace. She started with a showroom that showcased her flooring designs that were inspired by her native Mexico. Her dedication to her business, professionalism, and quality of work is honorable. She understands the importance of ‘word of mouth’ therefore it inspired her to overcome barriers of the English language to better help her communicate with potential clients.

Lourdes Campero was nominated because of her dedication to her business, community, and going above and beyond to assist in the economic growth. Asusena Resendiz, President of the Irving Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, stated “Lourdes is a reflection of the entrepreneur spirit and serves as a business woman that has managed to successfully compete in a male dominated industry. She is an inspiration for many and the IHCC looks forward to sharing many more successes with her.” Mrs. Campero is a member of the Irving Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and also serves as on the Board of Directors. She leads weekly Christian Woman’s Leadership classes focusing on immigrant families at St. Francis and St. Ann’s Catholic Parish and volunteers at Pierce Early Childhood School and serves as a room mom at The Highlands School. Mrs. Campero knows how important it is to volunteer and leads by example for her children.
