On Tuesday July 25th, the Green Business Council
launched with a presentation to the Greater Irving-Las Colinas Chamber
Board. Presenting to the board, committee
vice-chairman Lonnie Mullen with Shermco explained why the group formed.
The vision of this council is to see the
business community reduce the environmental impact and become a distinguished
sustainability leader in North Texas. In
order to fulfill that vision the council has created a mission to foster a
culture of stewardship within our community to preserve our natural resources,
address economic needs and decrease waste, while enhancing quality of life for
present and future generations in Irving and North Texas.
The Green Business Council Meetings are held
at 11:00 AM on the third Friday of each month at Glory House Catering, 109
South Main Street in Irving. To become
