The Four Seasons Resort and Club at Las Colinas recently hosted the First Tee PLAYer Advanced Academy. The academy is for advanced players in the First Tee Network who are pursuing collegiate golf. The First Tee offers positive youth development through the game of golf. Schools nationwide offer First Tee programs.
First Tee of Greater Dallas, which serves more than 15,000 students annually including 12,000 through 42 Dallas ISD and Irving ISD elementary schools, joined with the University of Dallas and the Four Seasons in bringing 24 elite golfers from across the country to the TPC course for the program. One local participant was Hannah Jiao, 16, who hopes to play golf in college. Michael Wilson, 16, of Kentucky, has already secured a golf scholarship for college.
“We are delighted and honored to be selected as the host of this year’s academy,” said Chuck Walker, managing director of The First Tee of Greater Dallas.
