Dallas County’s property values have increased slightly this year, driven by strong gains in the commercial market, after years of big losses that strained the local budgets of cities and school districts. Overall, the county’s certified tax roll rose 1.4 percent to $157.7 billion, according to numbers released Tuesday by the Dallas Central Appraisal District. It’s the first overall increase since 2009. Commercial values jumped by 4.6 percent.
