Irving Chamber President/CEO Chris Wallace recently
participated in a panel discussion during the national board meeting of BIPAC.
The panel focused on the importance of engaging businesses in the
legislative advocacy process and how local actions shape national attitudes. Wallace, who is also chairman of the Texas Prosperity Project, discussed
tools available to businesses such as: Identifying issues that matter to
specific industries; how to inform employees of these issues and the impact on
their lives; how to show where incumbents and candidates stand on these issues
as well as making sure employees of businesses exercise their right to
vote. BIPAC (Business & Industry PAC) is an independent,
bipartisan organization supported by several hundred of the nation’s leading
businesses and trade associations.
