Schools Foundation
will recognize one Sustainer, five new Fellows, and
sixteen new Scholarships including the endowment of four scholarships on
Thursday May 24, 2012 at 5:30pm in the atrium of the IISD Administration
Building (2621 W. Airport Freeway, Irving, Texas 75062).

The following Sustainer and Fellows will have
their names inscribed on the Perpetual Giving Tree: William Edgar Brown, Jr.,
Dr. Elaine Free, Christina Winters Gears, Representative Linda Harper-Brown,
Robert Martinez, and Keith Murray. The following Scholarships will be
recognized: Caltex Corporation Scholarship, Coach Mike Farda Scholarship, Dr.
Doug Won Scholarship, Elida E. Villarreal Scholarship, Gifted and Talented
English Scholarship in Honor of Ms. Judith Nevil, Irving High School
Mathematics Scholarship, Linebarger Goggan Blair & Sampson Scholarship,
MacArthur High School Architecture, Construction and Engineering Scholarship,
MacArthur OBGYN Scholarship in Memory of Dr. David Wollenman, Nokia Challenger
Scholarship, Sarah Cahill Good Citizen Scholarship, and United Negro College
Fund Scholarship.

The following scholarships will be dedicated on
the Giving Tree as a newly endowed scholarship: Dr. Douglas Won Scholarship,
Irving Symphony League – Scholarship for the Performing Arts, Time Warner Cable
Connect a Million Minds Scholarship, and Time Warner Cable Communications

Since its inception in 1985, the Foundation has
awarded more than $2 million in teacher grants and student scholarships.  Current Foundation programs include
grants-to-teachers, educator enrichment grants, teacher and student scholarships,
teacher awards and campus site grants.
