The Irving Heritage Society will host a program by author and former Irving resident Susan A. Hyde on March 22 at 7pm in the Central Library auditorium, 801 West Irving Blvd. A former English teacher, Ms. Hyde also managed multiple political campaigns for 25 years.  She volunteered in numerous civic projects as well before returning to her hometown of Cooper, Texas.

Ms. Hyde’s recent book A Listing Wind was inspired by events involving some of
her own family members. The story reflects on a 1936 murder trial and a poignant love story.
