The City of Irving is updating its strategic plan to identify new initiatives through 2017, and is seeking input from residents and businesses. Irving’s strategic plan, which was first created in 2006, guides future growth and development. The plan has contributed to key results in areas such as economic development, public safety, capital improvements, code enforcement, streets and communications.
The city’s annual operating budget is based on the strategies and action items listed in the strategic plan. A copy of the FY 2011-12 plan is available here. To provide input on new initiatives for the City Council to consider, send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org. The City Council will hold its strategic planning retreat in early March.
