The Irving Heritage Society invited the public to join them for the Heritage House 100th Anniversary Kick-off at 303 South O’Connor on Sunday, December 4, and did they ever respond!  More than 70 guests visited for the special occasion including several city councilmen, the mayor, two state representatives, the chair of the Dallas Co. Historical Commission, the Fire Chief Molina and his wife, and many, many other special guests.

Past Heritage Society President Mary Oberlin and President-Elect Chris Wallace are co-chairs of a large committee who have been busy planning a long list of activities to take place during the upcoming anniversary year. The reception was the first of many events to mark the significance of the Heritage House.

Next up will be the proclamation at city hall on this upcoming Thurs., Dec. 8 at 7pm.  Following the proclamation will be the Holiday in the Park on Fri, Dec. 9 from 6:30pm-8:30pm.
