The Finnish American
Business Guild
(FABG) held its annual
Finland Independence Day celebration December 3rd at the offices of
the Greater Irving-Las Colinas Chamber of Commerce

Tasteful
Finnish décor touches were added in the Chamber’s beautiful location in Las
Colinas, which was already decorated for the Holiday Season.  After the
two National Anthems, the official “Independence Day Champagne Toast,” was
offered by Sami Simula, FABG President, followed by a moving poem-reading by
one of the guests in both English and Finnish, and then the Kaamos Choir
delighted the packed venue with Finnish holiday season favorites.

Great
food and drinks, combined with the Season’s spirit added to a celebratory
ambiance which was clearly enjoyed by all. The FABG has a long-standing
relationship with the Greater Irving-Las Colinas Chamber and is the natural
conduit in the dialogue between the Sister Cities of Irving and Espoo, Finland.
