Irving-based Fluor Corporation announced that the company’s Mining business received a full notice to proceed for Newmont Mining’s Conga project in Peru. Additionally, a joint venture between Fluor’s Infrastructure business and Odebrecht was awarded the earthworks scope at the Conga project. Fluor is the majority partner of the earthworks joint venture. Fluor booked approximately $1.7 billion and $580 million for the respective scopes of work.

Fluor also announced in a public ceremony that Qatar National Facilities Services (QNFS), a Qatari-based company partly owned by Fluor, signed a five-year comprehensive maintenance services contract with RasGas Company Limited (RasGas) in the industrial city of Ras Laffan, Qatar. Following a competitive tendering process, the new contract was awarded to provide maintenance services for the entire complex.
