Irving-based Fluor Corporation announced that it has been honored by EHS Today magazine as one of America’s Safety Companies for 2011. The list recognizes 12 firms representing a diverse range of industries. It is the second time that Fluor has received this award from EHS Today.

Irving’s unemployment rate declined for the month of October from 8.1% down to 7.7%. This is below the Texas unemployment rate of 8.1% and much lower than the national unemployment rate of 9.0%.
