The finalists for the Irving Trivia Competition have less than a month away to prepare for the final rounds. A total of thirteen teams competed for the preliminary rounds of the competition but now only four teams remain. The preliminary rounds proved to be difficult as the first round between the La Cima Heritage Committee team and the Irving City Council team engaged in 16 tie breakers, with the City Council team remaining victorious. Although the Irving City Council team did not make it to the finals, the Irving Convention and Visitors Bureau, the Entertainment Series of Irving, the Henry Holmes Breakfast Forum-Arnold’s Team, and the Irving Independent School District Librarians moved on to the final rounds.

The competition is part of the Celebrating Irving – The City and The Man month long series of events. The finals will be held at the Valley Ranch Library, 401 Cimarron Trail, on Sunday, May 1, at 2pm. The events are sponsored by the Irving Heritage Society, the Irving Public Library, the City of Irving, and the Irving Independent School District. All activities are open to the public and are free to attend. Good luck teams!
